Hmmm ... I had serious reservations about the SJMC when it was proposed, and my apprehensions have largely been confirmed, unfortunately. While I appreciate what you set out to do, and applaud the use of contemporary quotations, photos and film, I think that your re-enactments are woeful: at worst like a bad war film. Itˋs a pity.

The main exhibition was excellent but the main entrance felt abandoned and quite forlorn which was disappointing

It was a very informative visit. I think it has been done really well with the mix of acting, recovered photographs and journal entries from the soldiers who fought was great.

A great experience. My grandfather won the Belgium croix de guerre for galantry under fire while serving with the forth division. He would never talk about it.

Very moving to come to this beautifully designed memorial. With 6 soldiers to remember ( Grandfather and Great uncles, PRYDES, ROGERS AND WESTON ) on this front, I am very pleased to have made the trip. I have read at length of Lieut. General Monash and I feel very sad for the political refusal to elevate Sir John to the rank of full General, at the time and also recently.

Very well presented history of the war. Excellent historical information and well kept grounds. Staff at the centre were very keen to assist with information about the centre and how the interactive presentations can be utilised with own smart phone and earphones.

I read the news today. Why haven't we learnt from your sacrifice? Thank you to those who have preserved the memory of my grandfather who fought here and returned and of my grand uncle who died here. I'm so pleased i can go to where he is buried and take memories back to his great, great, great, grandchildren who don't know of his sacrifice but whose lives have been enriched by it.

This place is a special part pf Australian history. The memorial makes me proud as an Australian despite having few numbers and lack of artliay at the start of the war. It is not about the size of the dog it is about the size of the fight in the dog. This was demestrated clearly by the Aussies and they fought to give us the freedoms we have today. My grandmotherˋs cousin is buried here, John Gilbert Jacob. His diaries have been published and are very poignant reminders of these times of war.
